Back home

Well it is a few days after Christmas and I hope you all had a lovely one.
We spent our on the sands of Hawaii in 80 degree temps.  I was a first for us to be away during the Holidays but spending it relaxing made me think about doing it again.

I did get home in time to have a great Christmas lunch with my girl friends & exchange gifts.  I managed to find time to make them each a darling quilted Christmas tree.  The pattern is by PJ embroidery designs.  You build each piece one at a time & adding them to each other.  I love the bling of the crystales.

I wanted to show you the beautiful Christmas gift my friend Deb
We got to know each other on a quilting forum & have been friends ever since.  I just love the trees & fabric.  Warwick give her stamp of approval.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart Deb.
Hope you all have a great day, thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Rebecca

What I've been up to

I have not been posting for quite a while because I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW FORMAT of blog spot.  I simply don't know how to do posts or find blogs anymore.
Plus life has been crazy.  I probably won't be on for awhile again because this is what we are dealing with.
It's called the robber's fire & is in our back yard.  I have my sewing machine  packed in my truck in case we get the evacuation warning.   Gregg & I ran through what to take if he is at work.  Grab the antique quilts, the cat.   I really hate summers due to the fear of fires.
Please keep us in your prayers.

Hello again

Hello again my friends. Where have I been & what have I been doing? Well I took a little break from blogging, but have been reading & catching up on all your blogs. You all have been making pretty things, & doing some exciting things.

Let me show you a few things that has been going on in Rebecca's Room. I finished my red heart twister quilt & just love how it turned out. I didn't get it finished in time for Valentine's Day, but that is alright, it will look great hanging anytime. This one will be a gift for someone, I made an all pink one for myself because, well, if you know me I love pink. It just needs to be quilted. I believe I showed it to you in an older post.

My Friend Penny who comes to sew with me sent me a link to DIY on how to make dress form pincushions. Now I love & collect dress forms so this was so perfect. I have been having so much fun making dress forms. Putting gigas & bling on them is the most fun.

Notice this one has a tape measure flower.

This one has a zipper flower. Ah they just make me smile.

Can you guess what all my sewing friends are getting for Christmas?

Well, nice sharing with you, thank you for stopping by.
Hugs,
Rebecca

Happy Valentines Day

Wishing everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day!
Do you have big plans?  I know it can be difficult when the big day falls mid week, but I am planning a nice dinner for my man.  Now am am not much of a baker so  I found the cutest individual sized cheese cakes.  Gregg loves cheesecake so that will be a hit.

Wishing you all love & happiness,
Rebecca

My new purse

I wanted to share with the the darling purse & small bag my friend Deb made for me.  I just love the fabric she picked.  She gave me the pattern so I can swap the purse with a different fabric sometime.  I don't know if you can see it, but the zipper pull on the little bag is scissors.  Isn't it cute?
Here is a shot of the inside, beautiful Deb.

Then she made me this darling shopping bag with it's own bag to to store it in.  It folds up nice & tiny to fit in your purse until you are ready to fill it.  Now how did she know I love black & white cows?    I just love those faces.

Thanks for stopping by,

I'm addicted

Well, I must tell you all, I love this Twister tool by CS designs. I simply can't get over how neat it is. I have been buying charm packs and layer cakes like crazy because I can't stop making these little quilts. I purchased both sizes of the ruler & both books that are out there. “ Funny thing though, I bought the second book “Lets Twist Again”, first. However I did order the first book & can't wait to see shat great patterns & ideas or it that one.

Now after making this cutey, I called my friend Penny who comes to sew with me, and told her about this amazing tool. Well , I am such a good friend, I got her addicted as well. So together we made another top. Here is Penny's pretty rich toned one. She got her charms awhile ago from the quilt show we went to together & at the time didn't know what to do with them. L

eave it to me, I helped her out. Didn't it turn out nice? She is out buying more charms too to make more.

Here is my second one using soft pastel colors I had.

Of course since Valentine's day is coming, I just had to make this heart pattern which is in the book.

I can't stop looking at this PINK pretty, it is soooooooo me. It is going to go in my sewing room.

That is what I have been up to these last few weeks. I am waiting for my charms to come from Fatquarter Shop & Green Fairy Quilts, so I can make more. Having a great time. What have you been up to?

Thanks for stopping by,

Rebecca
